How can I create a personal account ? How can i access it ? To open an account, go to the section «Create my account». Register as a new acquirer or as a photographer and fill in the proposed form. As per your registration, you will receive a confirmation message on the indicated email address. By clicking on the link "confirm message" you will be registered definitely.. What are the necessary conditions on using the photographs on the site for public, commercial or advertisement purposes? From the outset of the public and/or commercial use of photographs, it's necessary to acquire a user's licence, regardless of the photograph's nature and the resolution chosen. The purchase of photographs entitles you to particulars rights which include development rights, reproduction, distribution as well as representation rights of these photographs. In order to fully understand how to acquire a user's licence on PhotoLicence's site, please go to section «Downloading photographs for public and commercial use» of the Acquirer's charter. What are the procedures for buying photographs ? Identify yourself on the site and go to the photo that interests you, insert it into your cart at the most convenient resolution. First, log into your personal account. Once you have finished both viewing and selecting your photographs, click on « My cart » and check that the items contained in the cart correspond to your choice with the right resolution. Then, select « Purchase Now » and follow the instructions given on your screen. If you choose to pay by cheque, once you have confirmed the validation of your cart, your order will be registered. You will receive an email confirming your order and indicating the amount due and the order number. After receiving your payment, or if you pay directly using your credit card your order will be validated. Following this step, your bill and licence will be edited and that will enable you to download photographs without markings and at the chosen resolution, directly from your personal account under the heading "Download a bought photograph" . What are the necessary conditions for a private and personal use of the photographs on the site? The photographs available on this site can be downloaded strictly within the bounds of a private use but are not intended to have any collective use whatsoever.
As mentionned above, it's only for personal use, excluding any public or commercial distribution. Are Non-Profit Organizations bound by copyrights legislation and royalty acts? Yes, once the use of the photographs becomes public and/or collective, it's necessary to acquire a user's licence. The purshase of the photograph is viewed as a commercial action, regardless of the final use that is made of it.
